Job Description/Responsibilities

Are you passionate about ensuring regulatory adherence and optimizing business processes? We are looking for an Audit and Compliance Officer to take charge of safeguarding our client's company compliance with all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices. In this role, you'll be pivotal in evaluating financial and operational activities, ensuring that the company operates efficiently and effectively while following proper procedures. Key Responsibilities: • Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of operational processes, including loan origination, underwriting, disbursement, and collection strategies, to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations. • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and audits to identify non-compliance issues and potential risks. • Review internal controls related to microfinance operations and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. • Examine financial transactions, including loans and repayments, to detect irregularities or fraud. • Stay updated on regulatory developments and ensure the company adapts to changing requirements. • Investigate and resolve compliance issues, conduct internal investigations, and implement corrective actions. • Recommend improvements to internal controls to enhance compliance, operational efficiency, and cost savings. • Ensure compliance with data protection laws, particularly regarding client information and financial data. • Track and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions for previously identified issues. • Prepare and submit compliance reports to senior management and regulatory authorities. • Collaborate with internal teams, external regulators, and industry associations on compliance-related matters. • Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance to foster a culture of adherence throughout the organization.
