Job Description/Responsibilities

Are you detail-oriented with a knack for maintaining accurate inventory? Our client is looking for an Inventory Clerk to ensure stock levels are managed effectively while providing excellent customer service. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining an organized motor vehicle parts and supplies store, managing stock counts, and ensuring the accuracy of inventory records. What You’ll Be Doing: • Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly motor vehicle parts and supplies store. • Accurately issue inventory following recommended practices. • Apply demand forecasting techniques to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent depletion. • Use your knowledge of receiving practices to: •Verify purchase orders and invoices against established standards. • Ensure goods received are correctly documented in the Goods Receipt Log. • Pass accurate information to the Finance team for inventory system entry. • Ensure stock items are clearly and accurately labeled and shelved upon receipt. • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in the inventory database promptly. • Participate in routine and random inventory counts, reporting findings as needed. • Assist with the return process for used parts. • Perform monthly cycle counts and receive and issue fuel. • Assist in the on-the-job training of new team members. • Perform other related duties as necessary to support the department’s objectives.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Associate Degree in Business Studies. 5 CXC’s including Math and English Language/NCTVET Certification in Motor Vehicle Repairs. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Highly detail-oriented and accurate in your work. Comfortable using business technology, including software, networking, and telephone communications. Strong written and oral communication skills. Effective problem-solving and analytical abilities. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Physically capable of lifting boxes and other items up to 50 lbs. Familiar with computerized inventory software and inventory control methods. Able to create and interpret inventory reports, purchase requests, and packing slips. Broad knowledge of motor vehicle parts and supplies is essential.
