Job Description/Responsibilities

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Human Resource Officer to join their team in Kingston! The Senior Human Resource Officer (SHRO) will provide crucial administrative support for the HR Shared Services department. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities and maintaining the department’s standards across various HR and administrative functions. Key responsibilities include: • Identifying and resolving staff issues and complaints on a daily basis. • Handling Human Resource Management (HRM) matters such as contract expiration listings, payroll changes, and network removals. • Maintaining both physical and electronic records for assigned employees. • Coordinating and compiling monthly reports on staff performance, policy exceptions, and customer concerns. • Organizing and supporting staff management meetings and HR team activities. • Managing daily department activities and monitoring quality results. • Addressing and actioning service requests for assigned employees and providing timely feedback. • Supporting ad hoc HR projects and drafting necessary documents and correspondence. • Processing Motor Vehicle Upkeep and Gas Cards for staff and executing employee separation processes.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • 2-3 years of experience in general administration, preferably within an HR environment. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
